Mudras are hand gestures we use during meditation or breath work (pranayama). We use them to guide the flow of energy, stimulating various parts of the brain to create a specific energy circuit in the body and mind.

Some benefits of these mudras, from top to bottom, left to right:
• Vayu mudra - when practiced regularly it helps to eliminate excess gas related problems
• Gyan mudra - helps to increase concentration and memory, reduces stress
• Shuni mudra - symbolises patience and discipline
• Prana mudra - activates the dormant energy within the body, making you feel energised and strong

📚This book is amazing!!!

It is the true story of how yoga started in America and the story behind a man who led the way, Pierre Bernard (aka the Omnipotent Oom) and all of the mystery that surrounded him. Both good and bad. He is most certainly not a saint.

I highly recommend this book if you love yoga, history, especially american history, and true crime stories!
